107 new COVID-19 cases, 100 recoveries reported

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting 107 new cases of COVID-19 with 100 recoveries. Active cases in Washoe County grew by seven.
In the month of July there were 39 COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County, the highest number recorded in one month. In June there were 15 COVID-19-related deaths and in May there were 30.
- Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 5,293 (+107 from 7/31)
- Deaths: 114 (+0)
- Recovered: 3,895 (+100)
- Active cases: 1,284 (+7)
- Currently hospitalized: 89 (+5)
- Cases who have discharged from hospital: 390 (+18)
COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County
- Total number of COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County as of 1: 86,450 (+619 since 7/31)
Note: These figures are provided by the State of Nevada and can be found on the State Dashboard. COVID-19 tests may include non-Washoe County residents who were tested in Washoe County.
Hospital bed and ventilator information
According to the Nevada Hospital Association, in Washoe County as of July 31:
- 63 percent of all staffed short-term, acute-care hospital beds are occupied (+0% since 7/30)
- 33 percent of the all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (+3%)
- 15 percent of all ventilators are in use (+1%)
NOTE: Numbers are for all hospital patients in Washoe County and not just COVID-19 patients.
